DECISIONS: The thing that makes a leader a leader is being the lead decision maker. Now that’s a position of responsibility that has ramifications for all of those following you. It’s a position of trust. People look to leaders to guide them and the origination to places of victory, success and achievement; thus, it behooves the leader to make the wisest of decisions. It’s not a good decision that you settle for but the best decision you can make (at least at that time). A word of caution here – be careful about making hasty and prayerless decisions – it can come back to bite you and undermine your credibility. Bath your decisions in prayer, counsel (when possible), forethought (risk-reward) and cost (for doing and not doing). One final thought here – be prepared for the naysayers and critics. Remember, they are not the ones you are seeking to please – please the Lord as the preeminent one in your life. |
