GIVING HONOR: I've said and heard it said, "I like giving my flowers to the living rather than waiting until they die." I've experienced the joy of giving honor to some that are now in heaven before they died. It may not seem like much but to them they knew, by my action, that I respected, appreciated and wanted the best for them. If you are in a position to bless somebody, then do it as soon as possible. They may not have much longer. The Bible says to give honor to whom it is do (Romans 13:7). There are many ways to do this. Nominate them for a position, submit their name for recognition, recommend them for a promotion, help them meet a personal need, support their ministry with monthly financial support (it doesn't have to be much - again it’s the thoughtfulness and consideration that will bless them most). Who will you honor today? |
