VISION: “Vision is the Perception of God’s HEART and the POTENTIAL of the present.”  Dennis Deese.  The leader who leads must follow the leader – Jesus Christ. God wants His church to be fruitful and nothing is more heartbreaking than a barren church. Every church and ministry has an assignment (II Timothy 1:9) and the leader must determine what that assignment is for the group and then lead in fulfilling it.  

The key is pleasing the lord and not man (1 Thessalonians 4:1). Thus, if the group is unwilling to follow God’s man, then don’t bother casting your pearl before the swine (Matt 7:6) and move on. Life is too short to waste your potential! I found that in most cases there’s a remnant that truly wants to follow the Lord. Work with those who will work with you. 

Don’t let the cold water committee put your fire out. Fan the Flame of your spiritual man (II Timothy 1:6 – our ministry verse) and move with the Lord regardless of what others do. You will have critics but when is the last time you saw a monument to a critic?  Don’t let people stop you from doing what the Lord wants you to do. What is your vision? Have you found His heart’s desire? Have you written it down? Have you developed a plan to accomplish it? Go for it!
