SPECIAL EVENTS: One of the most effective ways to reach new people is hosting BIG events. When you host church wide events, it is inclusive of the entire churches participation. The more people involved the more likely they are to invite others. One of my favorites and what I believe to be the most effective is a FRIEND DAY.

Follow the plan to the letter and let the leadership find their friends and announce who is coming with them. Plan the event well leading up to it and prepare invitation cards for any BIG event you host so your church family can give them to others. It works best if you pass out invitation cards to your church family – at least 3 per person and let the staff give out at least 6.

One day HARVEST events work well too. Bring in an Evangelist and promote the event well in advance.  Be prepared for a revival response with invitation counselors and invitation ministers. Whatever BIG event you host, make it for outreach. Encourage your church family to invite as many people as possible. Make it a great day with the right music upbeat and fired up.
